Catch fresh, raw, rough-edged improv with the wild crew at BATS Improv — and take advantage of a sweet bargain! For a mere $5-$10 (at the door only), enjoy fun, improvised shows starring the next generation of comedy geniuses from the BATS School of Improv.

The “Student Showcases” feature an ensemble of improv students who have trained together in workshops devoted to specific improv genres. Teams of student improvisers put on “Late-Night Student Shows,” which are only $5 at the door, or free for audience members who attend the 8:00 p.m. main stage improv show.

The 10:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13 student show stars Grendel’s Grinches in an anything-goes, free-for-all of improv zaniness. On Saturday, August 20, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., students from the “Rock-Solid Scenes” improv class present a FREE showcase of their talents.

Pay a measly $5 for the 10:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20 “Late-Night Student Show: Mad In the USA — and Original Sketch Revue” with students from the “Sketch Pad 2: Writing Sketch Comedy for Improvisers” class. Another FREE show on Sunday, August 21, 3:00-6:00 p.m. offers “Student Showcase: 45-Minute Cinematic Long Form” improv performances.

The August shows wrap up with the Saturday, August 27, 10:00 p.m.”Late Night Student Show: Points of View” ($5 at the door only) and another FREE “Student Showcase: Family Drama” on Sunday, August 28, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
