BATS Improv hosts in-person shows at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture’s Bayfront Theatre in Building B. Gather in the theater and laugh along with BATS during Super Scene on Saturdays, December 4, 2021; December 11, 2021; and December 18, 2021, 8:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m..

BATS Improv School students present an Intermediate Performance Lab show, Family Drama, on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, December 31, 2021, BATS Improv presents New Year’s & A Movie , 8:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

BATS recommends purchasing tickets online, but also offers in-person ticket sales between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on show nights.

Super Scene is a fast-paced, rip-roaring theater competition featuring five directors creating five unique, completely improvised stories, each with a unique tone or genre, But there’s a catch — stories unfold one scene at a time, round by round. After each round, the audience selects, with their applause, the stories that continue, and which story is eliminated. This process continues, and the scenes evolve, until the final round, where only one story remains and the top-rated Super Scene is performed.

Family Drama re-creates a holiday family get-together as a fully staged, full-length improvised play. For New Years & A Movie, BATS performs New Year’s inspired scenes in the first half of the show, and an improvised New Year’s “movie” in the second half.

Please remember to wear a mask, bring proof of full vaccination, and a photo ID to the in-person shows and do not attend if you have any symptoms that could be caused by the COVID-19 virus. BATS is limiting ticket sales to encourage social distancing during the performances.
