Rock out at home and in-person with Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture resident group Blue Bear School Of Music’s Fall 2021 classes and online private lessons for teens and adults. Learn how to play a new instrument or improve existing musical skills with Blue Bear’s diverse program of virtual classes, virtual private lessons, and Little Bears toddler music classes.

The 11-week virtual classes and in-person sessions begin the week of Monday, September 27, 2021 and run through Thursday, December 16, 2021. Virtual and in-person sessions feature electric rhythm and lead guitar, blues and jazz guitar, and acoustic guitar with classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. Other guitar styles explored include acoustic jam for guitars and ukeleles. Other virtual and in-person classes cover vocals, ukulele, songwriting (online), piano and keyboards  (online), bass and drums (online), and more. Blue Bear offers on-demand classes in DJing & Electronic Music too. Tuition costs $185 to $490 per class for 11 weeks.

Adult band workshops are available in virtual format as well as in-person — with in-person workshops returning for Fall 2021. In-person band workshops meet for two-hours per week for 10 weeks (plus the performance night) and cost $425. Blue Bear is helping band members find each other and schedule online sessions using JackTrip Raspberry Pi virtual studio technology. Tuition is $625 for 10 weeks (two hours per week), including the Raspberry Pi hardware, or $400 for those who already have JackTrip Raspberry Pi equipment.

Little Bears online and in-person classes for ages six months to five years old (with parents or caregivers) are available on an ongoing basis. Little Bears In The Park in-person, outdoor sessions (with parents or caregivers) are available at a variety of San Francisco parks twice each week for 45 minutes. Fees average about $25 per class and drop-ins are not allowed at this time. Email LB@BlueBearMusic.org for more information.
