Generation Theatre presents the third part of Marcel Pagnol’s Marseille Trilogy: César. Twenty years have passed since the sagas of Marius and Fanny; and now, César lives alone in the Bar de la Marine. Marius has just returned from five years at sea, settling in Toulon, some sixty miles away from César; while Fanny’s child, Césariot, lives in Paris and is finishing his studies at France’s most prestigious academy: École Polytechnique. As the characters’ lives continue, various truths come to light.
