The San Francisco Children’s Art Center (SFCAC) at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture offers great winter classes for 2019. SFCAC has four Big Kids (grades kindergarten through fifth grade) Afternoon Weekly Workshops ready to inspire creating, collaborating, and sharing through visual arts. For younger children (ages 3.5 to five years), SFCAC provides six classes and art studios.

Each week (Tuesday-Saturday) offers wide-ranging explorations of different ideas and materials to inspire art-making. “Art & Science,” “Photo Explorers,” and “Sculpture,” workshops (1.5-hour classes, $317; $35/drop-in session) offer deep investigations into the challenges and choices found in two- and three-dimensional forms. “Homeschool Art Studio” for ages six to 10 years old (two-hour classes, $346; $45/drop-in session) takes place on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon).

The weekly classes for younger kids (22 months to 5 years) meet on weekday and Saturday mornings and provide age-appropriate art instruction and activities through “Art Studio I” (1.5-hour classes, $317; $35/drop-in session), “Art Studio II” (two-hour classes, $346; $45/drop-in session), “Little Art Makers” (one-hour classes, $231; $30/drop-in session), and “Side By Side” (one-hour classes, $231; $30/drop-in session, for children and adult caregivers).

Prices vary per class and drop-ins for individual class sessions are welcome (one-hour classes $30, 1.5-hour classes $35, and two-hour classes $45).
