Mother Jones hosts a panel conversation, “Climate of Change: Innovation and Action for a New Environmental Politics,” for the Coal + Ice exhibition at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. Panel participants include environmental justice advocate Mustafa Santiago Ali, former environmental adviser to Barack Obama and now with the Hip Hop Caucus.

Geologist, volcano expert, and former congressional candidate Jess Phoenix joins Ali for the discussion. Mother Jones environmental reporter Rebecca Leber is also part of the panel, which surveys the state of climate politics and grassroots advocacy efforts in cities, states, and communities. Science educator and correspondent Kishore Hari leads the conversation.
