About: Drawing on the well-known Arabic folktale from One Thousand and One Nights, Disney’s animated Aladdin (Scott Weinger) finds his lamp and his Genie (Robin Williams) — but can he also keep the love of Princess Jasmine (Linda Larkin) against the plots of Grand Vizier Jafar (Jonathan Freeman)? With animations riffing on the work of Al Hirschfeld and songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, Aladdin (1992) won two Oscars and became the highest grossing film of 1992.
