“Don’t expose him to bright light. Don’t get him wet.
And don’t ever, ever feed him after midnight.”
Gremlins
About: It’s Christmastime in a picturesque small town and Billy’s father has gifted him a cute but mysterious pet — a mogwai — who comes with three rules to follow. When each of them is broken, chaos and destruction descend upon the town in the form of multiplying and mischievous Gremlins. Billy (Zach Galligan) and his friend Kate (Phoebe Cates) come together to try and contain the damage. Dante’s comedy paints a darker picture of mid-80s American suburbia and cleverly addresses themes of family, responsibility, consumerism, and exotic Others.
