Through Jun 3rdBalinese orchestra Gamelan Sekar Jaya and Larry Reed’s ShadowLight Productions present In Visible Light, a shadow theater, voice, dance, and gamelan performance. In Visible Light portrays a mythic and arrogant tyrant who poisons the rivers of knowledge, arts, and culture and throws the world into chaos. Saraswati, the beautiful Balinese goddess of arts, language, and learning, saves the day by fighting an epic battle to restore balance. The production features 35 performers.
These performances by Gamelan Sekar Jaya and ShadowLight Productions are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25 – June 4 exclusively at FMCAC.
