Long Now Foundation In-Person & Online Seminars About Long-Term Thinking

Jun 14th @ 7:00 p.m.Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture’s (FMCAC) resident organization The Long Now Foundation has introduced online and limited in-person versions of its popular “Seminars About Long-Term Thinking” (SALT) series. The upcoming seminars are available to the public as live, in-person and streaming events on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Long Now Live. Hundreds of seminars since the beginning of the SALT program in 2003 are also available to view in the seminar archives.

- Tuesday, June 14, 2022, 7:00 p.m. PST — “Conversations At The Interval At Long Now” resume with Edward Slingerland‘s “Drinking For 10,000 Years: Intoxication & Civilization,” happening live and in-person at the Interval At Long Now bar, museum, and salon in Building A. Slingerland’s recent book, Drunk: How We Sipped, Danced, and Stumbled Our Way to Civilization, emerged to great acclaim in 2021.
