Celebrate 40 years of sharing Italian art and culture with the Museo Italo Americano during  the “40 Anni: Selected Works From the Permanent Collection” exhibit at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Journey back in time to the Museo’s beginnings in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood in a small room above the Caffe Malvina in 1978.

As the years have progressed, the Museo has developed a significant collection of Italian and Italian American artworks, a historical archive, a lively and colorful exhibition program, numerous cultural events about Italian music, books, films, and cuisine, ongoing Italian language and culture classes, and much more. Enjoy highlights from the Museo’s permanent collection and be part of the future of Italian culture and community.
