Museo Italo Americano presents “ContemporArte: Selected Works By Italian Artists From Our Permanent Collection,” an exhibit featuring a selection of seldom-seen works by Italian-born artists, at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture.

“ContemporArte” displays paintings by members of the Italian art movement Transavanguardia; including Sandro Chia, Francesco Clemente, Nino Longobardi, and Mimmo Paladino; as well as a prominent group of artists who operated in the Milanese art scene, from Enrico Baj to Lucio Del Pezzo, Valerio Adami, Bruno Di Bello, and Emilio Tadini. Included in the selection are several new acquisitions — works by Giovanni Ragusa and Giuseppe Gattuso Lo Monte.

Museo hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The exhibit is on view Friday, September 30, 2022 through Sunday, March 26, 2023. (Closed on major holidays.)
