Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture’s resident group Museo Italo Americano has online and in-person shopping and in-person and Zoom events during 2024.

You can also visit the shop in-person, Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Discover beautiful Murano glass hearts; fused- and blown-glass jewelry; brilliant blown-glass and fused-glass birds; books; and Italia-branded men’s items. Shipping for any order is only $6.00.

“Cena & Telechat [Virtual Version]” conversations over meals or wine or prosecco continue on Mondays; August 19, 2024 and September 23, 2024; and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Conversations are in Italian and happen on Zoom. The Museo Blood Drive in honor of the late Sheila Wishek takes place on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. t0 3:00 p.m. The Bloodmobile parks near Landmark Building C and Museo teams with Vitalant Blood Donation for this event. A Journey Back / Un Viaggio di Riturno” is a book launch presentation by Lou Dematteis, showcasing images from his title of the same name. “A Journey Back” is also a traveling exhibition of the time Dematteis spent in Italy from 1972 to 1980. The event happens Thursday, August 8, 2024, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Members Free; non-members $10)

The “Antipasti d’Estate” gastronomic journey though Italy features Italian wine paired with regional dishes on Thursday, August 22, 2024, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Chef Alfredo Ancona of Angelino Restaurant in Sausalito, CA, and Museo Alleanza member chefs contribute the cuisine with a hosted Aperitivo hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by the dinner. (Members $125; non-members $175)

The “Campi dei Nonni – Regional Sunday Series – Piemonte” book event takes place on Sunday, September 8, 2024, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Photographer Matt O’Brien presents work from his book, Campi dei Nonni about traditional farming, winemaking, and family life in Piemonte, Italy. Antipasti and Piemonte wine are also served. (Members Free; non-members $10)
