Magic Theatre celebrates the opening of their 50th Season with the world premiere of “Nogales: Storytellers in Cartel Country” at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.

Set in the titular contemporary Mexican border town, “Nogales” explores overblown egos, innocent victims, and the conflicts that rage in an America adrift without a moral compass. The play examines the harsh reality of life reflected in the rigid metal of the border walls surrounding and separating many Mexican and U.S. communities.

“Nogales” was written by Richard Montoya, famed playwright, actor, and co-founder of Culture Clash, a collective performance trio. Campo Santo co-founder, playwright, actor, and director Sean San Jose directs the world premiere production.
