Rogue Cinema Drive-In: The Burning Man Forbidden Film Festival

Presented By

San Francisco Institute Of Possibility

Mar 23rd @ 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Arrive early to get a primo parking spot (or upgrade to a VIP ticket) for the encore presentation of the San Francisco Institute of Possibility‘s Rogue Cinema Drive-In: The Burning Man Forbidden Film Festival at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. New with the encore screening is the chance to see the event online in a streaming simulcast for free ($20 donation suggested). Hosted by Polly Superstar (Kinky Salon), the simulcast includes interviews with people in the films and filmmakers.

Join the San Francisco Institute Of Possibility (SFIOP)’s Executive Director Chicken John Rinaldi and other luminaries for screenings of selected scenes from films that present alternate viewpoints of the gathering that has been held annually for decades in the remote Nevada desert.

The Burning Man Forbidden Film Festival offers special treats and classic footage with excerpts from movies that capture the essence of the Burning Man experience. Ticket fees support the SFIOP, which inspires inclusive artist communities, fosters arts education, perpetuates wonder, and initiates the creation of experiential public art.

Selected scenes from featured movies include:

Dust and Illusions by Olivier Bonin

Eye of Rudra by Dean Mermell

Progress by Dean Mermell

Burning Man 1994 by Chuck Cirino

Burning Man 1997 by Chuck Cirino
