Geoarchaeologist and climate researcher Stefan Kröpelin discusses his research and revelations about climate change in the very early prehistory of the Sahara desert region of North Africa in a salon talk at The Interval.

Attendees will embark on a virtual expedition with Kröpelin to one of the most mysterious, least-explored places on Earth as he reveals its pre-desert early history when it was lush with plants and cattle and a great seven-mile wide river and lakes that still exist attracted human settlement long before the civilizations of ancient Egypt.
