Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) presented Zaccho Dance Theatre’s biennial San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival on the FMCAC campus for FORT MASON ART’s Summer 2024 program. The San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival happened Friday, August 16, 2024 through Sunday, August 18, 2024.

The city’s premiere aerial arts event, the San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival (SFAAF) featured internationally recognized artists and exciting newcomers breaking into the field. This biennial festival brought together spectacle, daring athleticism, aerial dance, and circus.

The 2024 festival featured two evenings of showcase performances, a youth matinee, and a site-specific installation by Flyaway Productions designed for the fire escapes at FMCAC. New for 2024, SFAAF presented a curated selection of films that captured the grace, strength, and imagination of the aerial arts, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. The film festival screened parallel to the live performances at FMCAC.
