Moving Meditations

San Francisco International Arts Festival

May 25th @ 7:15 p.m.

In a shared bill with Kinetech Arts, “Elements of Others,” Nathalie Brilliant leads an audience-engagement performance incorporating guided movement exercises inspired by Butoh dancer theater, Eastern philosophy, and dancer Anna Halprin. The movements increase body connection and awareness, as well as strengthening mind-body cooperation. Participants explore different ways to move, non-verbal movement, and shaping bodies to one another and to objects. The different exercises expand and create connections between bodies and the surrounding space for enhanced spatial awareness.

This performance by Nathalie Brilliant is hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 19 – June 5 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by 50 different ensembles, as well as an expansive arts exhibition celebrating 100 years of the Dada Movement. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass. More details HERE.
