Vishwa Shanthi Performing Arts presents Samudra Manthan at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. A cast of 35 performers re-creates Indian mythology in classical dance with celestial gods, demons, demigods, and mortals struggling for supremacy over the three worlds. Vishwa Shanthi uses Bharatanatyam traditions to craft a grand operatic production exploring the inner spiritual meaning of stories from ancient texts.
