Shimon Attie: Night Watch On The Bay

The Catherine Clark Gallery, BOXBLUR, and the Immersive Arts Alliance co-present Shimon Attie‘s floating media installation, Night Watch, which is visible from many points along the San Francisco Bay waterfront from Friday, September 17, 2021 through Sunday, September 19, 2021. Night Watch visits Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture (FMCAC), Piers 2 and 3, on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. A variety of other outdoor exhibits and events also happen on Friday, September 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at FMCAC to celebrate the Fort Mason Fall Arts 2021 Preview Party.

Guest are able to interact with Fort Mason Fall Arts 2021 outdoor installations and see an outdoor performance on Friday, September 17, as well. Available to enjoy are Lawrence Weiner’s OUT OF SIGHT immersive hopscotch artwork, Thitiwat Phromratanapongse’s Wat Walls painting commission, and Kim Ip’s Kindred Swell dance performance (6:00 p.m. start time). Lawrence Weiner’s OUT OF SIGHT and Thitiwat Phromratanapongse’s Wat Walls installations are also on view daily, from September 17, 2021 through January 30, 2022, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In addition to viewing the Night Watch floating installation on September 17, visitors can attend a live dance performance, Attie film screening, dance film screenings, and hear programmed music by Classical Revolution at FMCAC’s Cowell Theater, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
