About: The first superhero film to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, Ryan Coogler’s take on the Marvel Cinematic Universe finds Black Panther T’Challa (Boseman) returning to his technologically advanced homeland of Wakanda for his ascendance as king.  Against the backdrop of arms dealer Ulysses Klaue’s (Serkis) attempts to steal some slice of Wakanda’s marvel – the alien metal vibranium – T’Challa must confront his lost cousin Erik Stevens (aka Killmonger) (Jordan) in a fight for Wakanda’s throne, power, and place in the world.  The film catapulted the late Boseman (1976 – 2020) to global stardom – and his artistry in any sized film is missed.
