Moana
About: As the daughter of Tui (Morrison), chief of the Polynesian island of Motunui, Moana (Cravalho) must stay away from the ocean and learn how to manage the island as its future chief — but the ocean has other ideas. When Motunui’s ecosystem suffers a sudden blight, Moana’s grandmother Tala (House) encourages her to save the island by setting sail and fulfilling an ancient quest. With the brash demigod Maui (Johnson), Moana sails far and wide to restore the heart of the goddess Te Fiti. Standing in their way: the demonic Te Kā, whose poisonous power threatens all of Polynesia. Moana and Maui quest to restore the islands’ bounty, to remember Motunui’s seafaring ways, and to realize who they can be.
