SOLD OUT — FORT MASON FLIX — San Francisco Girls Chorus: The Line Between
San Francisco Girls Chorus & Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture
Through Jun 3rdTHIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT FOR JUNE 3, 2021
Reflecting on a year of adventurous collaborative projects across different art forms, San Francisco Girls Chorus (SFGC) brings together hundreds of choral singers from all levels of the SFGC Chorus School, as well as the award-winning Premier Ensemble, to present an evening of boundary-crossing works, including the world premiere of The Line Between by Cava Menzies, co-commissioned by SFGC and Roomful of Teeth. After a year of isolation, the concert bridges the divide between us and celebrates a hopeful future.
The evening also features selections from DJ Spooky’s 2019 hit production Quantopia, Scene 4, from SFGC’s new choral opera Tomorrow’s Memories: A Little Manila Diary by Matthew Welch, and an excerpt from The Future is Bright, a new SFGC-commissioned work by Susie Ibarra, and much more.
