Heroes’ Voices presents Soldier’s Journey, a program of music, poetry, and artistic explorations into the lives and unique experiences of soldiers at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Soldier’s Journey also celebrates the West Coast awards for the Heroes’ Voices National Veterans Poetry Contest.

Soldier’s Journey features poetry and music examining a variety of perspectives on war, peace, and soldiers’ experiences before, during, and after battle. Performers include professional and veteran musicians, actors, and San Francisco Poet Laureate Kim Shuck. A reception follows the event.

Admission is $40 per person. Individuals can also sponsor a veteran for $40, or make a donation to Heroes’ Voices. A limited number of free tickets are available to veterans on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Please bring your ticket voucher and veteran’s ID with you on the day of the event and check in between 1:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.)
