About: A modern classic of science fiction combines cyberpunk aesthetics, action, martial arts, and novel special effects (“bullet time”) to create a dystopian world where humanity is unknowingly trapped inside a simulated reality called the Matrix. Masterminded by an evil cyber-intelligence, this fake world exploits human bodies for energy. When computer programmer Neo (Keanu Reeves) discovers the truth, he chooses to join a band of black leather-clad rebels led by Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie Ann Moss) in the battle to destroy the illusion enslaving reality.
