Celebrate Maestro Ali Akbar Khan’s birthday and 50 years of North Indian classical music in the San Francisco Bay Area at the eighth annual tribute concert presented by the renowned Ali Akbar School of Music at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The evening features world-class performances by Ali Akbar Khan’s sons  Alam Khan and Manik Khan on sarode, Swapan Chaudhuri on tabla percussion, and Debashish Bhattacharaya on chaturangi (slide guitar); with vocals by Rita Sahai and Kathak dancing by Charlotte Moraga.
