Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture resident group Young Performers Theatre (YPT) offers in-person Spring 2023 classes for vaccinated children who love the stage. The 10-week classes start Monday, February 6, 2023 and continue through Thursday, April 27, 2023. (No classes Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday, February 20-23, 2023 or April 10-13, 2023.) YPT’s classes are held at a new location in the Southside Theater, Building D, third floor.

The season includes “Creative Drama” for ages five to seven years (grades one and two), which meets on Mondays, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., February 6, 2023 through April 24, 2023. (No class Monday, February 20, 2023 or April 10, 2023.) The final class features a performance for family and friends. Tuition is $390.

Also available is “Presenting … The Show!” for students in grades three through five, which meets on Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., from February 9, 2023 through April 27, 2023. (No class Thursday, February 23, 2023 or April 13, 2023.) Students present a show on the final day of class. Tuition is $400.

“Presenting … The Show, Act II!” offers students in grades four through seven a workshop to create characters and narratives on Wednesdays, February 8, 2023 through April 26, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (No class Wednesday, February 22, 2023 or April 12, 2023.) The final class date results in a play staged for a live audience. Tuition is $400.
