Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture resident group Young Performers Theatre (YPT) offers in-person Winter/Spring 2024 classes for vaccinated children who love the stage. The nine- to 10-week classes start Monday, February 12, 2024 and continue through Friday, May 3, 2024. (No classes Monday through Friday, March 18 to 22, 2024 or April 1 to 5, 2024.) YPT’s classes are held in the Southside Theater, Building D, third floor.

The season includes”Let’s Pretend” for ages three to five years old, meeting on Mondays, February 12, 2024 to April 29, 2024, 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. [SOLD OUT] or 4:20 p.m. to 5:05 p.m. (No classes Mondays, March 18, 2024 or April 1, 2024.) $340

“Creative Drama” for ages five to seven years (grades one and two) meets on Tuesdays, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., February 13, 2024 to April 30, 2024 [SOLD OUT] or Thursdays, February 15, 2024 to May 2, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (No classes Tuesdays, March 19, 2024 or April 2, 2024; or Thursdays; March 21, 2024 or  April 4, 2024.) The final class features a performance for family and friends. Tuition is $390.

Already SOLD OUT is “Presenting … The Show!” for students in grades three through five, which meets on Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., from February 14, 2024 through May 1, 2024. (No classes Wednesdays, March 20, 2024 or April 3, 2024.) Students present a show on the final day of class. Tuition is $400.

“Presenting … The Show, Act II!” offers students in grades four through seven a workshop to create characters and narratives on Fridays, February 16, 2024 through May 3, 2024, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (No classes Fridays, March 22, 2024 or April 5, 2024.) The final class date results in a play staged for a live audience. Tuition is $400.
