Radhaus (Coming Summer 2018)

Aaron and Matt Hulme, the culinary team behind local favorites Biergarten and Suppenküche, announce their latest venture, Radhaus.  A modern Bavarian beer hall and restaurant to be located on the campus of Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, Radhaus will blend the convivial atmosphere of Biergarten and the acclaimed cuisine of Suppenküche with panoramic views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge.

Radhaus will offer a Californian interpretation of modern Bavarian cuisine.  In addition to an accessibly priced full menu serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Radhaus will feature a program of top-tier Bavarian beer.  To ensure authenticity, culinary staff, including Executive Chef Tim Malloy, will be trained in a 12th century Bavarian castle, operating today as a hotel and restaurant.

Radhaus will highlight historic elements of the U.S. Army machine shop that once inhabited the space. Radhaus commissioned Envelope A+D to lead the renovation which includes vaulted ceilings, an open floor plan, industrial design and a large wall of windows opening up to the San Francisco Bay.  A single, sustainably sourced two-hundred foot ponderosa pine will be carved on-site to create an oversized bar, communal bench and dining tables.
