COAL+ICE
Through Sep 23rdAsia Society Northern California presents COAL+ICE, a 50,000-square-feet, documentary photography and video exhibition co-curated by Magnum Photos photographer Susan Meiselas and renowned Dutch exhibition designer Jeroen de Vries. Featuring the work of 40 photographers from around the world, COAL+ICE examines the multifaceted effects of climate change caused by global use of fossil fuels.
Coinciding with Governor Jerry Brown’s Global Climate Action Summit (September 12-14, 2018), COAL+ICE San Francisco includes three weeks of festival programming from unlikely collaborators in the fields of business, culture, environmental research, media, politics, and science. Many of the events are free. Admission to the photography exhibit is always free.
