Learn how to play a new instrument or improve existing musical skills with Blue Bear School of Music at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Blue Bear’s diverse program includes group classesadult band workshops, youth and teen private music lessons, and Little Bears toddler music classes. Please note that Blue Bear offers classes at a variety of locations, however, only the ones held at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture are covered here.

Sample what Blue Bear has to offer with Short Seminars, held September 17-19, 2019. These two-hour seminars cover topics such as guitar, songwriting, piano, and more for a mere $25 per seminar.

The 11-week group classes begin the week of September 23, 2019 and run through December 12, 2019. Group sessions feature electric, acoustic, rhythm, bass, and lead guitar with classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. Other group classes cover vocals, ukulele, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, DJing, songwriting, acoustic jamming, and more. Tuition ranges from $215 to $530.

The 10-week Adult Band Workshops are available in basic and intermediate levels for rock and blues, acoustic rock, funk, jazz, modern rock, and more from September 23, 2019 through December 5, 2019. Band workshops cost $495 and culminate with a live performance by band members at a local club.

Little Bears classes for ages four months to five years old begin September 10, 2019 and run through December 10, 2019. The 45-minute classes take place in the mornings, Monday through Wednesday, and cost $275 ($25 per class for drop-ins).
