About: Real estate agent Steve Freeling (Nelson) lives with his wife Diane (Williams) and their three children in the new Southern California development of Cuesta Verde. When their youngest child, Carol Anne (O’Rourke), begins communicating with someone or something inside the television, strange events unfold: glasses break, chairs move, and an unseen force propels objects across the kitchen floor.  A crescendo of forces strikes with a thunderstorm when an animated tree grabs son Robbie (Robins) through his bedroom window and Carol Anne inexplicably disappears.  When a team of parapsychologists investigates but fails to provide a rescue, they turn to the physically small but spiritually powerful medium Tangina Barrons (Rubinstein).  As Tangina understands the spirits surrounding and holding Carol Anne, Steve begins to understand the hallowed grounds on which his livelihood and current house sprawls.  Multiple escape routes must now come into view.
