Summer Performance Festival Preview

San Francisco International Arts Festival

May 28th @ 7:00 p.m.

Intrepid dance and performance incubator SafeHouse Arts presents its Summer Performance Festival Preview Showcase of eclectic dance projects. The preview program features unique pieces from six groups highlighting the diverse San Francisco Bay Area dance scene.

Choreographer Marika Brussel performs an excerpt from her evening-length composition about homelessness, “From Shadows.” Dance artist Khala Brannigan, from the Bay Area Dance Collective, offers a glimpse of “Heard.” Artistic entrepreneur Carly Lave of Asterick performs “(trapped).” Leigh Riley’s The Riley Project performs “Untitled v2.” Singer, songwriter, and composer Itoro Udofia sings “Untitled,” which is also the title of Sienna Williams / Diana Kalaji’s piece.

These performances by SafeHouse are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25 – June 4 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by over 60 different artists, ensembles and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
