Embark Gallery presents the second exhibit in its new research-intensive partnership and exhibition program with recent graduates at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The second “R & D Projects” exhibit features the work of emerging Master of Fine Arts artist Angela Willets in an exhibit called “I Am Maneuvering With Difficulty.”

Angela Willetts has partnered with Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC)  and is working with historians at the National Park Service and local archives. Willetts is creating a body of work about the geography, history, and architecture of the FMCAC campus. Willetts uses sculpture, performance, installation art, and video to explore ideas of entanglement and interdependence through open-ended, experience-based inquiry around physical materials.

The opening reception takes place Friday, August 25, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
