BATS Improv presents a new style of short-form improv via With A Little Help From My Friends at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Pairs of improv artists take turns performing or providing performance support (staging, sound effects, being extras, and so forth) during rapid-fire short improv scenes.

At intermission, the two improvisers switch roles. The player who initially performed now supplies the behind-the-scenes support for the former stage hand, who becomes the improv artist. All of the activities on-stage, including the stage settings, sound effects, and extras work, are improvised in front of audiences.
