This Is A Test Exhibit

Presented By

Embark Gallery

Through Dec 16th

Inspired by the outdoor sirens that blare throughout San Francisco every Tuesday, Embark Gallery presents “This Is A Test,” an exhibit confronting feelings of uncertainty, dystopia, and other notions, at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Embark Gallery seeks artists considering art movements such as Fluxus, Dada, neo-Dada, and Happenings as historical contexts for their work.

Among the potential exhibit themes are safety, experimentation, unpredictability, taking chances, repetition, vulnerability, memory, utopia, the void, and other topics applicable to the words of the San Francisco Outdoor Public Warning System; “This is a test … this is only a test.”

Exhibiting artists include: Mengmeng Lu (San Francisco Art Institute, SFAI); Judit Navratil (California College of the Arts); Oberon Strong (San Francisco State University); and Cristina Velazquez (SFAI).

Embark Gallery is closed Saturday and Sunday, November 25 and 26, 2017.
