Experience Detour Dance‘s newest immersive production, The Twilight Aristocracy, which blends drag, dance, and theater to reveal the inner workings of a queer clandestine operation throughout The General’s Residence at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture (Upper Fort Mason, enter at Bay and Franklin streets).

Scenes take place simultaneously throughout The General’s Residence (GR), allowing audiences to select different itineraries for their immersive experiences. Detour Dance transforms the GR into a hidden headquarters for a queer secret society.

The mysterious processes of this stealth radical association are revealed as they plan their escape to an island refuge. The island is somewhat similar to San Francisco, but promises more utopian sensibilities.

Performances take place Friday through Sunday, March 15 to 17, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets range in price from $35 to $150 and are available at EventBrite.
