About: Marooned at Kellerman’s Catskills summer resort with her parents (Orbach and Bishop), Baby (Grey) starts falling for dance instructor Johnny Castle (Swayze). In the upstairs/downstairs world of Kellerman’s, class lines fuel flirtation but block any real romance – and Baby refuses to stay on her side. Screenwriter Eleanor Bergstein drew on her own 1960’s summers for the film’s setting and dance-based story arc.
