Museo Italo Americano & Plasma Wine

Through Nov 18th

Celebrate the art, food, and wine of Abruzzo, Italy with Museo Italo Americano, Ester Crocetta, Plasma Wines, and other groups at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. Museo presents a special weekend featuring paintings and wine labels by Abruzzese artist Ester Crocetta at a weekend-long free exhibit, “Wine Art Abruzzo: The Art Of Ester Crocetta.”

Museo is collaborating with Villa Italia Wines, Plasma Wine, SustainAbruzzo.org, the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club, and Slow Food San Francisco to celebrate the resilient spirit of Italy’s Abruzzo region as it recovers from a series of devastating earthquakes in the past decade that caused extensive and severe damage in the area.

The exhibit is free to view throughout the weekend. On Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Closing Reception offers Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine tastings presented by wine expert, Loriano di Sabatino. Lorenzo Scarpone pours wines from the Scarpone Family Vineyard in Colli Teramane, Abruzzo. Reception attendees can also try Slow Food Presidium cheeses (Pecorino di Farindola and Castel del Monte), and artisan roasted meats, including porchetta, arrosticini, and timballo Abruzzese presented by artisan butchers Ercole and Stefano Fasciocco of l’Antica Norcineria in Abruzzo.
