SOPHIE CALLE: My mother, my cat, my father, in that order
SOPHIE CALLE: My mother, my cat, my father, in that order (2017); explores elements such as loss and absence through Calle’s examination of the death of her mother, father and cat. This exhibit will also feature works from Calle’s Autobiographies, and will open to the public at Fraenkel Gallery’s FraenkelLAB (1632 Market Street) for two months.
This event is in tandem with Missing, a thoughtful survey of Calle’s most emblematic projects from the last decade– Rachel Monique, Take Care of Yourself, The Last Image, and Voir la mer–presenting them in a dramatic setting along the San Francisco waterfront.
