Through May 14thSawtooth Productions brings the critically acclaimed, controversial one-woman show, My Name Is Rachel Corrie, to Magic Theatre at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The play is based on the writings of Rachel Corrie, a young U.S. activist who was killed by an Israeli tank during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Katherine Viner and the late British actor Alan Rickman edited Corrie’s journals to reveal a messy, articulate, chain-smoking woman with a passion for artist Salvador Dali and rocker Pat Benatar. The play has sold-out three runs in London and has been performed in 10 countries. Charlotte Hemmings reprises her role as Corrie from the New York production and Jonathan Kane directs.
