The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) | Fort Mason Campus presents the work of three distinguished, late faculty members in a group exhibit, “A+: Works By Susan Hauptman, Irene Pijoan & Richard Sheehan,” at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. The exhibit features detailed charcoal and pastel self-portrait drawings by Susan Hauptman. Prominent painter Irene Pijoan‘s large-scale pieces are brilliantly colored mixed-media constructions with cut paper, charcoal and pastel, and gouache; as well as oils on canvas. Richard Sheehan painted primarily with oil on canvas or cotton duck and created both large- and intimate-scale landscapes, often working outdoors.

The exhibit is curated by Jeremy Stone and is on view in the Main Gallery from January 2, 2019 through February 3, 2019. Exhibit hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. The opening reception takes place on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (RSVPs welcome). A special reception for SFAI alumni happens on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Please RSVP)
