Another Chopstick Story

San Francisco International Arts Festival

Through Jun 5th

Puccini’s tragic opera “Madame Butterfly” is the inspiration for a more humorous and ironic dance interpretation via the Swiss T42 Dance Project‘s “Another Chopstick Story.” T42 is an award-winning, versatile, and dynamic biracial dance and choreography team starring Misato Inoue and Félix Duméril. The pair’s San Francisco debut examines the so-called clash of cultures through lively and unconventional movement metaphors.

These performances by T42 Dance Project are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 19 – June 5 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by 50 different ensembles, as well as an expansive arts exhibition celebrating 100 years of the Dada Movement. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass. More details here.
