Troupe Vertigo brings the circus to town with Tableaux at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Trapped on an island of boxes, five women find themselves constrained and constricted by societal pressures and their own expectations. Exploring concepts of confinement and freedom, the performers harness their physicality and overcome limitations by collectively empowering and igniting their resourcefulness.
