Jessica Fertonani Cooke presents Spectacle Of The Snake II in the Chapel, Upper Fort Mason and “There Is No Land” below the piers at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC). Spectacle Of The Snake II is a short performance on Friday, May 24, 2019, 7:00 p.m. Snake references ritual, shamanism, venom, and transformation of the macabre.

“There Is No Land” is a free sonic collaboration among three sound artists on Saturday, June 1, 2019, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.. Each artist occupies one of the spaces underneath FMCAC’s three piers. The artists play the underlying pier structures from rowboats and transmit the results via microphones.

“There Is No Land” is free to experience.

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture hosts this performance and sonic installation by Jessica Fertonani Cooke as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 23, 2019 to June 2, 2019 exclusively at FMCAC.
