Mothra
About: Meet Mothra, a mythical giant monster, or gaiju, when she debuts in her first movie in the early ’60s and demonstrates her heroic powers as protector of the Earth and Japan. A little bit silk worm, a little bit silk moth, and a whole lot of whoop-ass, Mothra blasts out of her island home when unscrupulous shipwreck survivors abduct her tiny twin fairy companions to exploit them in show business. Still in larval form, Mothra wraps herself in a cocoon around the Tokyo Tower and emerges as a flying force to be reckoned with. Mothra lays waste to the kidnappers to reclaim her singing associates.
