About: Recently divorced mom Lucy Emerson (Wiest) moves with her teenage sons Michael (Patric) and Sam (Haim) to her father’s house near the California beach town of Santa Carla.  While Lucy starts a job at the local video store and is courted by its owner, Max (Hermann), her sons run into different packs on the boardwalk.  Sam joins the comic-book experts Edward (Feldman) and Alan (Newlander) Frog, who fancy themselves vampire hunters in a town over-run with the monsters.  Michael meets the vampires themselves, a rock-n-roll clad biker gang led by David (Sutherland) and intent on welcoming him into their club.  With the mysterious Star (Gertz) poised between the living and the undead, different worlds collide in a fight to the finish.
