Young Performers Theatre (YPT) offers Spring academy classes for children and teens who love the stage at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture! YPT offers performance classes for students three to 17 years old.

The “Musical Theatre” (ages seven to nine years old) and “Presenting … the Show” (ages nine to 12 years old) classes allow participants to present a play they’ve developed during the class  to family and friends on the final day of their session.

There are no classes during the weeks of February 20-24, 2018 and April 1-7, 2018.

“Let’s Pretend,” for ages three-and-a-half to five years old (grades pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten), takes place on Tuesdays, February 6 through May 8, 2018, 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. (no classes February 20 or April 3, 2018) and Saturdays, February 10 through May 12, 2018, 10:00-10:45 a.m. (no classes February 24 or April 7, 2018). Tuition is $325 per class.

“Creative Drama,” (ages five to seven years old, grades one and two), is held Tuesdays, February 6 through May 8, 2018, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (no classes February 20 or April 3, 2018). Tuition is $350.

“Musical Theatre,” (ages seven to nine years old, grades two through four), takes place on Wednesdays, February 7 through May 9, 2018,  4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (no classes February 21 or April 4, 2018) Tuition is $375.

“Presenting … the Show,” (ages nine to 12 years old, grades four through six), is held on Thursdays,  February 8 through May 10, 2018, 4:30-6:00 p.m. (no classes February 22 or April 5, 2018) and costs $375 to attend.

“Theatre and Audition Techniques,” (ages 12 to 14 years old, grades six through eight), takes the stage on Saturdays, February 10 through March 24, 2018,  11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (no class February 24, 2018). Tuition is $300.

“Shakespeare,” (ages 14 to 17 years old, grades eight through 12), presents the Bard on Fridays, February 9 through April 13, 2018, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (no classes February 23 or April 6, 2018). Tuition is $350.
