The San Francisco Art Institute | Fort Mason Campus presents a compelling group show, “In Bloom,” in the Swell Gallery at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Curated by John Hartford and Kathryn Gardner Porter, “In Bloom” features work by Adea Guldi, Kacy Jung, Ni Pan, Yuanyuan Liu, and Samantha Hensel.

“In Bloom” welcomes 2018 to the Swell Gallery and evokes first steps, beginnings, and the evolution of longer and beautifully complex developing systems that adapt and change according to the qualities of and conditions in their surroundings. The exhibit brings together artists exploring the concepts of birth and growth in existential and literal ways. Their artwork reveals the delicate moments of the past that shape life and the present that defines it in greater detail.

The opening reception takes place Friday, January 12, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
