Learn how to dance or DJ, play a new instrument, or improve existing musical skills with Blue Bear School of Music at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Blue Bear’s diverse program includes group classesadult band workshopsafter-school programs, and Little Bears toddler music classes. New for Fall 2018 are after-school world-music dance classes for children in grades three through seven and DJ classes for teens in grades seven through 11.

Sample what Blue Bear has to offer with Short Seminars, held September 18-20, 2018. These two-hour seminars cover topics such as gypsy jazz guitar, singing, and more for a mere $25 per seminar.

Adult group classes begin the week of September 24, 2018 and run through December 13, 2018. Group sessions feature electric, acoustic, rhythm, bass, and lead guitar with classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. Other group classes cover vocals, ukulele, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, DJing, songwriting, and more. Tuition ranges from $330 to $495.

The Adult Band Workshops are available in basic and intermediate levels for rock and blues, acoustic rock, funk, jazz, modern rock, and more from September 24, 2018 through December 6, 2018. Band workshops cost $495 and culminate with a live performance by band members at a local club.

Young folks in grades two through 12 can participate in after-school programs from September 17, 2018 through December 13, 2018. Classes offer practice in guitar, drums, piano, voice, rock, songwriting, DJing, world-music dancing, and more with tuition ranging from $345 to $385 for 12-13 weeks.

Little Bears classes for ages four months to five years old begin September 10, 2018 and run through December 8, 2018. The 45-minute classes take place in the mornings or afternoons, Monday through Saturday, and cost $275 for 12 weeks and $160 for seven weeks.
